Grafoil Gaskets

The graphite gaskets are developed to withstand cryogenic temperatures down to -200°C and with temperatures that reach 400°/1000°C (depending on use).

TECHNOLOGY

The graphite gaskets used in the Penta valves are designed, sized and produced internally; based on the rating class of the valve and the target service.

No polymeric materials are used in our valves, unless expressly requested, and all stem gaskets are En 15848-1 and / or Ta-Luft certified.

The graphite gaskets are produced using ad hoc molds and can be used with cryogenic temperatures down to -200°C or with temperatures reaching 400°C/1000°C, depending on the operating conditions, and can also be applied to environments with noxious gases.

Self-adjusting stem Gaskets (LIVE LOADING)

In all Penta valves, the stem sealing system is composed of a double barrier, in order to create redundancy and obtain a double safety against leaks to outside.

In all models, the stem gaskets are the result of a unique project that uses a pre-load springs design (Live Loaded Design), in order to avoid the wear caused by the high number of maneuvers and maintain the optimal load in order to ensure perfect sealing over time.

Pentafite è un coposto a matrice metallica con dispersione di lubrificante solido utilizzato per l’unico seggio metallico autolubrificante brevettato Penta.

Questa tecnologia è stata creata dagli ingegneri esperti di Penta per favorire lo scarico automatico delle sovrappresioni che possono venire a crearsi nelle cavità del corpo della valvola.
